2004 MS Walk

Thanks to the generous help of many friends, Tim and Sam were able to make a donation of $470 to the National MS Society this year!

A big and enthusiastic group of people waits to start the 2004 MS Walk in Tacoma. That's the beautiful Pagoda at Point Defiance Park. The weather could not have been better, with sun between puffy clouds and cool air. (Click on any image for a larger view.)
Like last year, the local Klingons helped out at the rest stops. I don't know why Klingons have such a bad reputation for being loud and grumpy. The ones we met were downright sweet! (That's the Klingon on the left.)
Something about this picture really strikes me funny. I guess it is the polite and self-effacing way in which the "Klingon" is serving us. He's nicely pressing the plunger with fingertips, rather than stomping it with a spiked boot or some such.
Isaac could not come on the walk because he was marching in the Tacoma leg of the Daffodil Parade. We caught up with him in Puyallup. They still went to Sumner and Orting after that. So he put in plenty of miles.
